1 Cup Rolled Oats
1 Cup Rolled Rye
1 Cup Barley
½ Cup Cracked Wheat
½ Cup Oat Bran
2 ¾ Cup Water
Mix all grains together and store in an airtight container for storage.
Combine 1 Cup of mixed cereal with 2 ¾ Cup Water, mix well and store covered overnight in the refrigerator.
Next morning add to a sauce pan and heat on medium until a simmer.
Cook roughly for 10 minutes stirring frequently to prevent any burning (more frequent towards the end due to evaporation) and taste, *Caution* it will be hot, at this point you can decide what consistency you like, feel free to add liquid to thin if that’s desired consistency.
Store in an airtight container for up to a week
Sweetener - Honey, Dried Fruit (raisins, cherries, etc), or Preserves.
Texture - Hazelnuts, Pumpkin, Sunflower, or Flex Seeds (Toast for added flavor).
Richness - Substitute Milk for Water and/or add Yogurt on top.
